Role Overview
VedaAI is seeking a Full-Stack Developer Intern (AI-Focused) to work across
backend systems, APIs, data flows, and AI-powered services.
This role is designed for high-skill interns who already have strong full-stack
fundamentals and hands-on exposure to AI systems.
We are not looking for beginners or candidates “starting out.” Interns in this role will
work on production infrastructure and AI-enabled features, with real ownership and
measurable impact. The internship includes a probation period and may lead to a
full-time opportunity, based strictly on performance and business need.
Full-time conversion is not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend and frontend features used in production
Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs
Work with databases (SQL / NoSQL) and data models at scale.
Implement AI-integrated workflows such as:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
AI service orchestration
Hybrid AI + rule-based logic
Integrate third-party services, AI APIs, and internal tools
Optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of systems
Debug and troubleshoot issues across services, environments, and deployments
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following internal standards
Monitor logs, metrics, and system behavior to proactively improve stability
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
This role is not suitable for entry-level learners.
Strong hands-on experience as a Full-Stack Developer
Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js or equivalent)
Strong backend experience (Node.js, APIs, databases)
Practical exposure to AI systems, such as:
RAG pipelines
LLM integrations
Vector databases or semantic search
Understanding of asynchronous systems, data flows, and API design
Ability to debug complex issues independently
If you cannot design, debug, and ship end-to-end features, this role will not be a good fit.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Advantage)
Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or semantic retrieval
Familiarity with event-driven systems, WebSockets, or real-time services
Exposure to cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience with containerization, CI/CD, or infrastructure automation
Understanding of system scalability, caching, and performance tuning
Interest in education technology or human-centered AI systems
Internship Structure & Performance Expectations
Duration: 6 months
Probation Period: Initial probation period to assess technical depth, execution quality, and ownership
Continuation of the internship is performance-based
VedaAI reserves the right to discontinue the internship if performance, contribution, or engagement does not meet expectations
This structure exists because the stipend reflects market-level expectations, not training compensation.
Compensation & Growth
Monthly Stipend: ₹20,000 – ₹50,000
(Final stipend is decided based on demonstrated skill level, prior experience, and technical depth)
Full-Time Opportunity:
Full-time conversion may be offered to exceptional performers
Conversion is not guaranteed
If offered, full-time compensation may be up to 14 LPA CTC, based on performance and role fit.
We pay high because we expect real output, not learning-only participation.
Work Mode
Hybrid work model
Interns may work remotely and are welcome to join the Delhi office when feasible.
Designed to accommodate strong candidates while maintaining accountability.
