By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
Definitions
“Service” refers to the Veda AI platform and its AI-assisted assessment and grading tools
“Institution” refers to a school, college, or educational organization using the Service
“User” refers to authorized educators, staff, or representatives acting on behalf of an Institution
“Student Data” refers to academic content processed under institutional authorization
“Content” includes assignments, responses, feedback, rubrics, and related academic materials
“Account” refers to an Institution-approved registered profile
“Subscription” refers to paid access to premium features
Eligibility and Institutional Use
The Service is intended solely for educational institutions.
By using Veda AI, you represent that:
You are authorized to act on behalf of an Institution
All student data submitted is done with proper institutional authority
You comply with applicable education and data protection laws
Veda AI does not offer services directly to the general public or to minors acting independently.
Account Registration and Responsibility
Institutions and Users agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
Ensure only authorized personnel access the Service
Promptly notify Veda AI of unauthorized access
All activity conducted through an account is the responsibility of the Institution.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Violate applicable laws or regulations
Upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content
Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service
Attempt to bypass security or access controls
Use the Service for non-educational or unauthorized commercial purposes
Interfere with system integrity or availability
Veda AI reserves the right to restrict or suspend access for violations.
AI-Assisted Assessment Disclaimer
Veda AI provides decision-support tools only.
AI outputs are advisory, not final determinations
Final academic responsibility rests with educators and Institutions
Institutions must independently review and validate outcomes
Veda AI does not guarantee grading accuracy, fairness, or suitability for specific academic policies.
Subscription, Fees, and Payments
Where applicable:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
Pricing may change with prior notice
Payments are processed through third-party providers
Refunds, if any, are governed by the applicable subscription agreement
Veda AI is not responsible for third-party payment processor failures.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to the Service, including software, models, branding, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Veda AI.
Institutions retain ownership of their submitted Content. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
License to Use Content
By submitting Content, the Institution grants Veda AI a limited, non-exclusive, purpose-bound license to process such Content solely to provide the Service.
Veda AI does not claim ownership of student or institutional content.
Data Processing
Veda AI acts as a data processor on behalf of Institutions. Data handling is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Institutions are responsible for ensuring lawful data collection and consent.
Service Modifications
Veda AI may:
Modify or update features
Suspend or discontinue parts of the Service
Adjust availability or functionality
Such changes do not create liability unless required by law.
Termination
Veda AI may suspend or terminate access:
For violations of these Terms
To comply with legal obligations
At the Institution’s request
For extended inactivity
Termination does not waive accrued obligations.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Veda AI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Veda AI is not responsible for academic decisions or outcomes
Liability is limited to amounts paid for the Service, if any
Claims require clear, provable misconduct or negligence by Veda AI.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Veda AI disclaims all warranties, including:
Fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy or completeness of outputs
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to Terms
Veda AI may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
